Dr. Abar graduated from the University of the Pacific in 1999 and completed his Orthodontic degree at UOP in 2001. He is board certified with the American Association of Orthodontists, and has been published in the American Journal of Orthodontists. He maintains two private practices in Pinole & Oakland. In addition to being a member of AAO, PCSO, ADA, CDA, and CCDDS, he is also a member of the Seattle Study Club, East-Bay chapter, which is involved in complex interdisciplinary restorative orthodontic cases.

Dr. Abar's wife, Farzaneh, is a software Engineer. They have two sons, Ryan (9) who is in second grade, and Aiden (4) who has just started to talk. Beside his family and practices, he enjoys basketball, camping, snowboarding, and card games.
